Education & Learning Support
Education and learning support provides tailored academic and cognitive assistance to help students overcome learning challenges. Programs range from one-on-one special education for conditions like dyslexia and ADHD to classroom accommodations.
Special Education: Cognitive interventions addressing specific needs, including reading/writing support (dyslexia), math support (dyscalculia), and executive function coaching.
Establishing schools and
learning centers
Education and learning support for impoverished students relies on a mix of government schemes, NGO-led initiatives, and accessible EdTech platforms that provide free tuition, study materials, and meals to break the poverty cycle.
Also small ventures organized by social activists and different organizations are helping child education, these days by collecting funds through awareness programs.
Libraries and reading rooms
In different cities and villages of West Bengal, numerous non-profits and public programs provide free or highly subsidized reading rooms and book access for underprivileged children. Major local initiatives include CRY’s “Kitabo ki Pitara” book-on-wheels and the District Library in Howrah, which features a dedicated Children’s Corner with free access for young learners.
We Prius Foundation, organize temporay classrooms on weekly basis as a part of study orientation, in villages and slum areas.
Support for underprivileged children’s education
Education for the unprivileged is a crucial tool to break the cycle of poverty and empower underserved communities. It focuses on removing financial, social, and infrastructural barriers, offering not just academics but also nutritional support, digital literacy, and vocational training.
Even weekly classrooms are organized by retired teachers and senior students, to help the poor children with help from Prius Foundation.
